First with Control Panel's Uninstall, then with Revo Uninstall. It gave me troubles, it acted as if it were a virus, it kept coming back after I deleted it - and deleted it - and deleted it. It's been months - maybe years - since I installed and removed BitDefender. It flashed off the screen before I could read it, and something else flashed across also. And it blurted out a problem with BitDefender. Today, I restarted it for the first time after the restore. (Therefore, I did not try to reinstall Windows 7 nor use the Win 7 emergency restore CD that Win 7 had talked me into making years ago.) Ran Malware Pro Chameleon. The laptop bricked two days ago, and then Windows decided it could try to rebuild using a previously saved System Restore file. Endpoint Detection & Response for Servers
